Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL MUSCAT

You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient Oman Safari Tours chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel.

Overnight at Muscat Hotel.

DAY 02: HALF DAY MUSCAT CITY TOUR

Morning, you will be met at the hotel for a half day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque one of the largest mosques in the Middle East.

Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali.  Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items.Overnight Muscat Hotel.

DAY 03:  NIZWA – JABREEN- BAHLA

Today you will have full day visit of the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital.

You proceed to Jabrin castle built in 17th century is one of the finest of its kind. Its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings makes this castle amazingly different. Thereafter continue to Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. As the monumental fort is closed for renovation only a photo stop is planned. Bahla is also famous for its pottery.

Overnight at Nizwa Hotel.

DAY 04:  NIZWA – WAHIBA  

Morning drive to Wahiba sands, via Birkat A Mauz and Ibra. Wahiba sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand.  The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. After some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all. Evening watch spectacular sunset from top of the dunes. BBQ dinner and overnight at Wahiba Sands.

DAY 05: WAHIBA – SUR   

Your first destination is Wadi Bani Khalid – an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis inOman and its pools with clear deep blue water give you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip.  Enjoy the ambiance of the Wadi. Then drive toyou visit fishing town of Sur, the eastern most town on the Arabian Peninsula, where until recently the famous Omani Dhows were built. Dhow building in Surdates back centuries and is closely linked with the maritime heritage of Oman. From Sur too, in the old days, the Omanis were sailing the seas, mainly to India. After an early dinner you will visit the turtle sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz, where at night the Green Turtles, after a journey of thousands of kilometers will come ashore to lay their eggs. You then return to Hotel for the overnight Ras Al Hadd.

DAY 06 SUR –QALHAT- BIMAH SINKH HOTEL-MUSCAT

Morning after Breakfast first visit ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb can be seen at the village of Qalhat on coastal road to Muscat(Photo stop Only). Our next stop is the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. On clear sunny days while driving along the coast one might chance to see sharks in the deep blue water or fleet footed Gazelle sprint across the landscape.Retun to Muscat, Overnight in Muscat Hotel

DAY 07 DEPARTURE TRANSFER

Departure transfers to Airport to connect the flight back home.

  • If quoted hotel for the tour will not be confirmed alternative hotel will be used and either supplement or reduction will apply.
  • Maximum 04 PAX can be accommodated in a 4 WD
  • 4 WD & Minivan will be considered wherever there is more the 04 PAX

Please note that this tour is on request basis and can be started any day of the week. In case we are not able to secure the accommodation as per the above program we would give you the option of operating the tour in reverse

  • All Museum / forts visits are subject to change without notice. Museums are normally closed on, Fridays, Saturdays and Public Holidays.  Similarly visits to forts may be changed without notice since certain forts are often closed temporarily for renovations on a regular basis.

** The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat can be visited between 0800 – 1100 hrs on working days from Saturdays to Thursdays and it remains closed on Friday and public holidays

  • Less than 10 Days in advance – 70% of the total amount
