On our comfortable 4×4 vehicle we will leave the port the in the morning on a full-day safari into the popular  Dhofar mountain range. While driving through the picturesque village Taqa we will make a photo break to enjoy a bird’s eye view from a cliff, better-known as Taqah Plateau. Then we drive into the beautiful Wadi Darbat to enjoy a refreshing walk on the Wadi bed, enclosed by herds of cattle, goats and camels. In the monsoon season, you can also see a nearly 100 meters waterfall expanding its claws into infinite lakes and lush vegetation.

Our next stop will be at one of the larges Sink Holes (211 meters deep and 150 meters in diameter) of the world, located at Tawi Attair  – also popularly recognized as the “Well of Birds”, who comes to this location frequently. Continue journeying into the Jebel Samhan mountain range – a fascinating plateau placed at an elevation of nearly 1700 meters. This site is usually known as the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Dhofar, that gives you an absolute view of the east-coast from one side and the massive  ‘Qara’ mountain range from the other. Here you will be supplied with an appetizing. we proceed our trip from the  tableland into the neighbouring  Qara mountain range and drive through picturesque Jebali villages, with several photo breaks at fascinating locations. We will come back to the port by late afternoon.
