Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL MUSCAT.-HALF DAY MUSCAT CITY TOUR

You’ll arrive at the Muscat International Airport in the morning. After being landed you will proceed directly to the Immigration. Customs and immigration are very quick and simple to deal with. Once you get there at the arrival lounge you’ll be met by our smart and friendly chauffeur who’ll guide you to the vehicle for a half-day Muscat city tour. Your tour will start with a trip to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which is one of the largest mosques found in the Middle East. Afterward, you will be visiting to Bait Al Zubair Museum which is located in the heart of Muscat, Oman’s historic capital city. You’ll have great photo taking the opportunity at the abode of his Majesty Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is bordered by the sixteenth-century  Portuguese citadels Mirani & Jalali. In the evening you’ll be ambling through Muttrah Souq, where you’ll be haggling for handicrafts & silver items.

DAY 02: NIZWA-AL HAMRA & MISFAT AL ABRAYEEN-JABEL SHAMS (GRAND CANYON)

After having breakfast you will be guided to witness old mud houses in Oman.  Al Hamra and Misfah features one of the oldest villages of this area. You will be surprised to these see these traditional mud houses that are dated back more than 400 years. The falaj system found in this historic village considered to be one of the oldest of this type.  Thenceforth you will be driven to Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar – the isolated villages placed precisely at Great Canyon’s drop point.

Then, we will proceed to Jebel Shams. En route, you will witness, Wadi Nakhar – one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons on the earth. From there your guide will take you deep inside the village where the chief activity is weaving, particularly Omani rugs. Then your tour continues to the zenith of Jebel Shams where you will get to witness the exceptional view of the Grand Canyon.

DAY 03- JABEL SHAMS-BILAD SIYT-SNAKE CANYON-WADI BANI AUF-NAKHAL FORT-MUSCAT AIRPORT

Your driver and tour guide will meet you around 8.30 am to escort you to our jeep to board on a gentle adventurous journey. Your first stop will be at the picturesque mountain village Bilad Say which is enclosed by a few spectacular mountains. Then we drive through the magnificent Wadi Bani Auf. This route is pretty adventures and means only for the physically fit as it involves many steep bends & uneven roads. The tour continues to Nakhal & its seventeenth-century fort constructed in the crest of a mountain.

Recognized as one of the most spectacular forts of Oman, Nakhal Fort is located beautifully at the edge of the Jebel Akhdar Mountains and enclosed by a gorgeous Oasis. There’s a region with therapeutic warm springs, and most noteworthy being Ayn A’ Thowarah whose water run at 45°C & are considered as a remedy for rheumatism & skin diseases because of its heavy sulfur content.

DAY 04- DEPARTURE TRANSFER

On day 4 you will be provided with a departure transfer to the Muscat International Airport to catch your flight back home.
