You will be picked up from hotel at 9:00 am and start your day with a Half Day Dubai City Tour. Your city tour starts with a drive along the Dubai Creek – the Natural saltwater inlet located in the historical part of the city, divides through Bur Dubai and Deira. Then, explore Gold & Spice Souks – traditional market with hundreds of trade retailers available for a wide variety of shopping.
Then make a stop at Dubai Museum – situated in the Bastakia Area – an interactive museum at Fahidi Fort built in 1971, Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest structure boasts 828 meter protruding the skyline of Downtown Dubai with over 160 floors, including the Armani residences and hotel resort. After exploring Nizwa, you will start your journey to Bahla, a pretty little town surrounded by an old 12 kilometer long wall. You will visit the place where the inhabitants make pottery and also the old fort of Bahla – one of the oldest ones in Oman (Now it’s under renovation and only visiting outside is permitted).
Then, you will reach Jabrin, for a visit of the fort – once the home of the Imam and was built as a palace earlier, but used for military purposes. It has been believed that the Jabrin Fort isone of the first schools in Oman.
Your overnight will be in Nizwa hotel.
After taking a breakfast at 8:00 am in the morning,we take you to see the old mud houses in Oman. Then, you stop at Al Hamra and Misfah to see one of the oldest villages of this region.
However, the traditional mud houses were dated back from 400 years – but are still occupied. The falaj system used in this old village one of its kind and is a UNESCO site. Thereafter, take a drive to reach Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar as well as the remote villages – the drop point of great canyon.
Then you visit the Jebel Shams. Along the road, you explore Wadi Nakhar, a narrow canyon and a very beautiful place, even geologically spectacular. It’s even considered as one of the deepest canyons across the planet.
You will go deep inside to the village to know their main activity weavingOmani rugs. Your journey continues to atop Jebel Shams, well-known as the “Sun Mountain”, and the highest peak in Oman. From there, you will be able to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.
Your overnight will be in Jabel Shams High Resort.
You will meet our tour guide at 8:00 am and will offer you a comfortable 4 wheel drive to embark on an adventure-filled trip. Your first stop will be at the quaint mountain village – Bilad Sayt surrounded by the dramatic mountains. We then drive along the spectacular Wadi Bani Af . This stretch is veryadventurous and is for the physically fit only as it includes several steep bends and usually bumpy roads.
Your journey continues to Nakhal Fort – a 17th Century fort built on the peak of a mountain, Jebel Akhdar Mountains. You will find there an area with healing warm springs, the most notable being Ayn A’ Thowarah. Its waters at 45°C and are considered as a cure for diseases like rheumatism and skin-related diseases due to the presence of sulfur content.
After that, you will return to Muscat and your overnight will be at Muscat Hotel.
After checking out hotel at 12:00Hrs, you will transfer to Muscat International Airport for your departure to Salalah. After arrival at the Salalah international airport, you will go for Immigration & customs. Then you will reach general arrival lounge and meet by our friendly, efficient chauffeur to drive you across Salalah in the comforts of our vehicle.
First, your visit starts with the Al Baleed museum of the Frankincense land. The museum is the home to an impressive collection of Omani archaeological and maritime history. The museums opens Sat – Wed at 8:00 -14:00 & 16:00 – 20:00, Thu – Fri 16:00 – 20:00) .
While visiting Heritage Souk, you will get different types of Omani crafts as well as incense burners. Even, you will have an incredible view of the Arabian market after visiting the new souk.
Then, just drive to the Gold souk – the home to modern and olden style Dhofari ornaments. Our Full Day East & West Salalah Tour excursion starts in the morning with a visit to the old fishing village of ‘Taqah’, – famous for manufacturing the‘Dried Sardines’ & its traditional yet old ‘Dhofari Houses’. You will visit the century-old ‘Taqah Castle’,- the former official residence of the ‘Wali’ (Governor) of the region offers an incredible glimpse into the rich history of Oman.
Then, you will continue your journey to the ancient ruins of the famous city – Sumharam, also known as Khor Rohri. The city was well-known as the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom, located on the ancient incense route in between the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf as well as India. However, Khor Rori was even a port on the Dhofar Coast, and was one of the major trading cities with frankincense. It’s been believed that, the city was the hub and harbor for the shipping of Frankincense ( the UNESCO World Heritage site).
You will back to West Salalah and discover the ‘evergreen Wadi Darbat’ while taking a relaxing stroll along the Wadi bed. It’s been surrounded by huge herds of Camels, Goats and Cattle. You will continue your trip along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road – taking you towards the Western Border of Oman. Along the road, seethe breathtaking cliffs on either side, the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat, – deep down in the valleys, dotting the dry as well as craggy countryside. You can take a short walk into the valleys to get a beautiful fragrance of the ‘Holy Incense’ amidst the serene view of the region.
