DAY 1-SUNDAY- ARRIVAL IN MUSCAT(-/-/-)

Arrival at Muscat International Airport (Ornan visa must be obtained online prior to arrival). After the customs procedures and collection of baggage are simple immigration formalities, the baggage will not be recovered. The passage of the driver (English speaking). DAY 2-MONDAY-MUSCAT – QURIYAT – BIMAH SINKHOLE-WADI SHAB – MUSCAT (B/( Picnic Lunch)/-)

Breakfast and departure for Quriyat . Continue the adventure with a picturesque stop at Bimah Sinkhole , a fascinating natural phenomenon: a deep karst cavity filled with crystal clear water. Take advantage of the opportunity to take breathtaking photographs and admire the beauty of this geological wonder. The journey continues in the direction of Wadi Shab , one of the most spectacular wadis in Oman. Here, a refreshing stream flows through rocky terrain, creating a haven for lush vegetation. Treat yourself to a revitalizing bath in the crystal-clear natural pools, surrounded by banana plantations and panoramic paths. It’s the perfect retreat from the heat, with the cool waters providing a tranquil oasis. Admire the beauty of the landscape along the route but be prepared for a challenging drive with slippery rocks, requiring sturdy trekking shoes. Return to Muscat .

Note: Please use caution on the return journey, as the road can be challenging with slippery rocks. Make sure you have appropriate hiking and swimming shoes for a safe and enjoyable experience.

DAY 3-TUESDAY-MUSCAT WITH SUNSET BOAT TOUR (2H) (B/-/C)

Breakfast and Start your day with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque . Admire the stunning Islamic architecture, intricate decorations and grandeur of this spiritual place. Take time to appreciate the beauty of the prayer hall, the impressive dome and the serene atmosphere. Visitors are advised to dress modestly, with women covering their heads, shoulders and knees. Continue your journey to Mutrah Souk, one of the oldest markets in Oman. Lose yourself in the narrow alleys filled with the scent of exotic spices, colorful fabrics and traditional Omani artefacts. Bargain for souvenirs and soak up the lively atmosphere by interacting with local vendors. This lively souk offers a rich insight into Omani culture and is a great place to purchase authentic souvenirs. After exploring the souk, head to the Bait Al Zubair Museum . Immerse yourself in Oman’s cultural heritage, as the museum features a diverse collection of artefacts, traditional Omani costumes, ancient weapons and historical documents. Gain a perspective on the country’s evolution from ancient times to the present day through carefully curated exhibits. Next, head to Al-Alam Palace, the ceremonial palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. Admire its striking blue and gold facade and the two Portuguese fortresses, Mirani and Jilali, which guard its sides. While entry to the palace may be limited, its aesthetic offers a preview of Oman’s rich royal history

DAY 4-WEDNESDAY – MUSCAT – PERFUME FACTORY – WADI BANI KHALID – WAHIBA SANDS (about 350 km) (B/L/C)

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a tour of the perfume embassy district, with particular attention to the enchanting ” Amouage “, where you will discover the secrets of these legendary fragrances. Next, head to Wadi Bani Khalid , a true oasis nestled in a narrow and lush valley, known for its natural basin with turquoise waters. You will have the opportunity to swim in these warm waters and enjoy a magnificent landscape. After the visit to the oasis, the journey continues through the majestic mountains towards the Wahiba Sands desert , a vast expanse of dunes that vary in color, similar to mountains of sand. Lunch in a local restaurant or in a suggestive place, surrounded by dunes even more than 100 meters high. This territory has been the natural habitat of the Bedouins for over 7000 years. Along the way, stop to explore characteristic villages that seem frozen in time, capturing evocative photographic shots. An overnight stay at the camp will complete this day surrounded by the magic of the Wahiba Sands dunes.

DAY 5-THURSDAY-WAHIBA SANDS SINAW JABRIN BAHLA NIZWA (about 250km) (B/_/C)

After a nutritious breakfast, treat yourself to relaxing moments to explore the vast desert. Next, set off on a 4×4 adventure to Al Mintrib, where you’ll board the bus to head to Nizwa. Make a short stop in Sinaw , where you can explore the old village and the characteristic local souk.

Continue your journey to Jabrin and visit the castle built in 1675 by Imam Sultan as his secondary residence. Renowned for its painted ceilings, walls adorned with arabesques and finely decorated stucco or wood doors and windows, this castle is a masterpiece. Take a photo break in front of a UNESCO World Heritage site.

For lunch, delight in the flavors of the region at a local restaurant in Bahla. Once you arrive at the pre-Islamic Bahla Fort , explore its historical importance. In Nizwa, take a relaxing stroll through the souk, famous for local crafts, including khanjar (curved daggers), pottery and baskets.

DAY 6-FRIDAY-NIZWA – AL HAMRA-MISFAH-DJEBEL SHAMS – MUSCAT (about 230km) B/_/C)

Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to Nizwa, the inland capital and cradle of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa was the seat of many imams and enjoyed a period of great prosperity during the rule of the Ya’ruba dynasty, which ruled the country from 1624 to 1744. The city boasts one of the oldest mosques in the world, although it is not visitable.

Explore Nizwa Fort and its majestic watchtower, admiring the history that permeates every stone. A stop at the livestock market offers a unique experience, immersing you in the lively atmosphere of the place. Enjoy the view of the blue and gold dome of the mosque as you head towards Al Hamra. From here, on the walkway, you can admire a backdrop of palm groves and breathtaking landscapes.

Visiting Bait Al Safah in Al Hamra is a journey back in time, where a traditional earthen house tells the story of Oman’s centuries-old history. The women of the village will show you ancient crafts, from flour production to the preparation of powdered medicines and local pancakes. During the visit, you will be offered Omani coffee (kawa) and dates.

Continue by 4×4 to Misfah, a picturesque town perched on the edge of a canyon. Walk through the narrow streets of the village, immersing yourself in the sounds of everyday life. Next, travel to Jebel Shams to admire the Grand Canyon of Oman, an impressive natural wonder. Enjoy a lunch break at the campsite and relax and explore the canyon in the afternoon.

In the change of vehicle, continue the journey to Muscat by bus or car, thus concluding the day of adventures. Return to Muscat for a free dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in a hotel, bringing with you the memories of a day full of history and natural beauty.
